Making decisions about strategic direction, content, cash-flow, budgets and communications strategy can be tricky if you don’t have the right expert around the table. If events are not the primary business, but there are opportunities of untapped revenues or to perhaps brand build or raise profile in a sector, then events can be a very powerful tool, but how do you execute effectively without a full events team and huge overheads? Appointing a part time Non-executive Conference Director is a solution to exploring potential opportunities, setting up stakeholder partnerships and making the right noise around your activity & intentions at the strategic level. We’ve worked with an interesting mix of clients to launch events with their communities. A former Mayor of Waltham Forest wanted to launch a charity to educate local residents around a healthier lifestyle to manage the condition. We created health taster days and a fund raising dinner to raise awareness with the local community, press and wider stakeholders. We also worked with a talented local film production company to create a film launch event. This event attracted well know leaders in the sector, along with potential partners and sponsors for her future projects. She is due to have a 2nd film launch in 2020 which we will be working on with her.
