What No Events? Panic

What No Events???!!! What Happens Now??!!!!!

The coronavirus pandemic has forced the entire events industry to pause, slow down and re-think.

With large scale exhibitions and global conferences removed from our calendars for the foreseeable future, what happens now for our delegates that attend conferences to network and take away new learnings? To our thought leaders that share important knowledge and to our valuable sponsors and service providers that rely on events to generate sales leads and engage with their customers?

I’d like to share some stats with you.

In 2018:

UK business events attracted 8.4m visitors, 25% of all international visits. Delegates spent £4.5bn whilst they were here. 50% of all business visitors return with their family and friends for holidays.

Business events are a vital part of the UK tourism industry and brings £32bn per year into the UK economy with deals contracted at exhibitions upwards of £150bn every year!

With a ban on live events & these kinds of stats, the show must go on right? Developing innovative solutions to serve all our stakeholders and customers, despite Covid-19 challenges?

It’s time to reset, review, re-think and re-define our event strategies to integrate the online/virtual scenario.

It’s too big an opportunity to miss.
